Belly green smoothie

I found this recipe in a program to reduce bloating and I have to say it is very good. as always there are a couple of things to be aware of like using unwashed spinach to avoid the sulfites or limit the pineapple if you have challenges with fructose.  



1 avocado cut roughly

3 stalks of celary

big handful of mint leaves

3 tbsp of linseeds

1 tbsp collagen- if using

1/2 cucumber in chunks

Juice of 2 lemons

1/2 cup of frozen pineapple chunks

1/2 cup of cold water or use coconut water

5 cm ginger- grated


Step 1

Mix all ingredients in blender. Divide among glasses. enjoy. 


If, like I do, you have challenges with sulphites you need to be very careful with bagged Spinach, unless you can get unwashed. It helps me to wash every bag of spinach leaves in cold water. However the storage time goes down significantly, so plan this.

Alternatively you can use Kale, which works beautifully.
