Tuna mousse
A quick and easy alternative for a starter made with pantry ingredients. Tuna from a tin is one of the few premade items, which works on a sulfite free diet and once in a while i just crave the taste and this is my go-to for a starter or even lunch with some celery. So good.
Ingredients
1 small can of Tuna natural
1 can tuna in olive oil
4 tbsp of creme fraiche- lactose free
Juice of 1/2 lemon
Pinch of cumin
1 can tuna in olive oil
4 tbsp of creme fraiche- lactose free
Juice of 1/2 lemon
Pinch of cumin
1/2 tsp of sea salt
Freshly ground Pepper
Instructions
Step 1
Add tua to bowl and make sure to mix well
Step 2
Add creme fraiche, lemon juice, cumin,salt and pepper
Step 3
Leave to cool for 20 minutes.
Serve with celery or toasted rye bread and decorate with basil leaves.
Tips
Use lactose free creme fraiche or mix a bit of Skyr, natural yogurt and creme fraiche depending on your allergies. I get a really good lactose free creme fraiche here, but it’s full fat, so i try to limit the amount.
