Living with food allergies is not a solo project. These are the people, ideas, and approaches I lean on most.

A note before you start

I'm no doctor, and I always urge you to get help from the medical profession. You need a proper diagnosis, not a do-it-yourself guess, that can do more harm than good. But the journey can be long and hard, so I'm here to offer ideas, quick wins and support for your specific path. What's in here is inspiration for your kitchen, not a diagnosis.

My resources

You'll find a mix of metric and cups here, especially in baking recipes from American cookbooks. They'll all become metric over time. In the meantime, Google is your friend.

Cook books

I take inspiration from any cookbook. I read them like novels and own a lot of them. That's how AnyAllergyFood started: I couldn't bring my recipes when travelling. The FODMAP system can help with IBS symptoms, but so can a good slow cooker book like the Asian Slow Cooker, or my Indian cookbooks. Whatever I use, I credit the author or book along the way, so check each recipe. I love the rice-based kitchens because of my mix of allergies, but I still love a good pizza too.

Cook with me

And rediscover your food opportunities instead of being a prisoner of your limitations.
